Position Overview
We are looking for experienced welders to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position offers competitive pay of $28.00 per hour for 35 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime depending on project demands. Key Responsibilities
As a welder at AMERICAN IRON DESIGN LTD, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Your duties will include operating manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
Daily Tasks
You will read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to understand project requirements. Additionally, you will operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to prepare materials for welding and fabrication projects.
Metal Fabrication
Your responsibilities will extend to operating brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines. You will also operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, ensuring precision and quality in all work performed.
Specialized Techniques
The position requires operating previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal. You will be expected to apply various welding techniques depending on the materials and project specifications.
Required Skills and Experience
Applicants must have extensive experience working with a variety of materials including aluminum alloys, non-ferrous materials, stainless steel, steel, iron and heavy metals, titanium, and special alloys. This experience should be backed by a solid understanding of different welding techniques and applications.
Equipment Proficiency
Candidates should be proficient in operating arc welding machines, gas welding machines, and spot welding machines. The ability to set up and operate various welding equipment efficiently is essential for success in this role.
Specialized Experience
Experience with custom fabrication, cast iron and other metals, ornamental work, fencing, balconies, stairs, and railings is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate versatility in their welding skills and adaptability to different project requirements.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring availability for early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend, and shift work. The specific schedule will be determined based on project needs and operational requirements.
