Moorlands Surgery is seeking a motivated and adaptable Salaried GP to join our team in Darlington. This permanent, part-time position offers an excellent opportunity for international medical professionals to work in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Employment Terms
This is a permanent, part-time position working six sessions per week. The salary is competitive and will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working in primary care. This includes conducting surgery consultations, telephone consultations, home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, resolving medication queries, and completing paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. You will ensure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical Duties
You will be expected to make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers. This includes assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, screening patients for disease risk factors, and developing care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease protocols.
Administrative Responsibilities
The post-holder will be responsible for recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, collecting data for audit purposes, and compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. You will also contribute to the development of computer-based patient records and Read-coding patient data.

Qualifications
Essential qualifications include an MBBS or equivalent medical degree, full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC), Certification of Completion of Training, and inclusion on the Performers List. These qualifications demonstrate your readiness to practice as a GP in the UK.
Experience
Essential experience includes evidence of commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, experience working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF), excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to listen actively to patients in a non-judgmental manner. You should also have strong attention to detail, patience, and a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
Desirable Experience
While not essential, desirable experience includes understanding the health and social needs of a local practice population, understanding of current issues and challenges facing Primary Care, experience of supporting service changes, and experience of service improvement and quality initiatives.
