Key Responsibilities
Personal Care Services
As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential personal care services to clients in their homes. This includes assisting clients with bathing, grooming, and other aspects of personal hygiene to maintain their dignity and well-being. You will also provide general personal care support tailored to each client’s specific needs and abilities.
Healthcare Support
You will be responsible for administering bedside and personal care as per care plans, including medication administration under proper supervision and guidelines. This requires careful attention to detail and adherence to healthcare protocols to ensure client safety and medication effectiveness.
Physical Activity Support
Assisting clients with regular exercise, such as walking, is an important part of this role. You will help clients maintain mobility and physical fitness while ensuring their safety during activities. This may include helping with exercises prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Household Management
Your duties will include light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. This may involve cleaning common areas, assisting with laundry of clothing and household linens, and general tidying to ensure the home remains comfortable and organized.
