Our Concrete Finishers primarily work on-site at various locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area. While the specific project locations may vary, you can expect to work in diverse environments ranging from residential neighborhoods to commercial construction sites. This position requires mobility as you’ll be traveling between different job sites as needed.
The standard work week consists of 30 hours, though there may be opportunities for additional hours depending on project demands and your availability. We maintain a flexible approach to scheduling while ensuring our team members achieve a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Concrete Finisher at Five Star Landscape Contractors, your responsibilities will include inspecting formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet project specifications before concrete pouring begins. This attention to detail at the initial stages is crucial for the quality and longevity of the finished concrete structures.
You will be responsible for filling hollows and removing imperfections on freshly poured cement surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish. This requires a steady hand, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with both hand and power tools to achieve the desired surface quality.
