Job Location

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from £64,455 to £74,896 per annum, pro-rata for part-time working. Sheffield Children’s uplifts pay to meet the Real Living Wage, which is currently £12.60 per hour. Schedule

Language Requirements

Fluency in English is required for this position, as it involves complex communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Education and Experience

Candidates must have post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical/forensic psychology as accredited by the BPS, including specific models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist is essential.

Essential Qualifications

Essential qualifications include post-graduate training in clinical/forensic psychology as accredited by the BPS, specialist training & supervision in specific psychological approaches, further post-doctoral training in the specific area of service, and HCPC registration. Additional specialist training in psychological approaches with specific client groups is also required.

Desirable Qualifications

Desirable qualifications include post-doctoral training in additional specialized areas of psychological practice, formal training, qualification, or accreditation in specialized psychological approaches (such as BPS DECP, DNP, UKCP), and experience representing a psychological perspective within multidisciplinary care.

Essential Experience

Essential experience includes working as a qualified clinical/forensic psychologist with significant experience in services for children with mental health, health, or neurodevelopmental difficulties. Experience working with diverse client groups across the lifespan, maintaining professionalism in challenging situations, and providing in/out-patient services and consultation to professional colleagues is required.
