Job Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Oakville. This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive hourly wages ranging from $45.00 to $55.00 per hour, with the potential for negotiation based on experience and qualifications.
Location
The position is located at our facility on Lower Base Line & Hwy. 25, Oakville, ON L6M 4G1. This is an on-site position requiring your physical presence at our Oakville location during working hours.
Work Schedule
This full-time position operates Monday through Friday with a schedule of 07:00 to 17:00 (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM). The position offers 40 to 50 hours per week, with overtime opportunities available as needed. The position starts as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Bronte Construction, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various types of heavy construction equipment. Your expertise will ensure our machinery operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity on our construction sites.
Equipment Maintenance
You will perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and other construction machinery. This includes oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and general system checks.
Diagnostic and Repair Services
Using diagnostic tools and your technical expertise, you will identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with heavy equipment. You will perform necessary repairs to restore equipment to optimal operating condition in a timely manner.
Safety Compliance
You will adhere to all safety protocols and regulations when performing maintenance and repairs. This includes proper lockout/tagout procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance performed, parts used, and work completed is essential. You will document repairs, create service reports, and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
