Responsibilities
As a Cashier at Liquor Stop N Shop, your primary responsibilities will include:
Operating the cash register efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions. This includes handling cash, cheques, and various credit/debit card payments while ensuring all transactions are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Scanning all items purchased by customers to ensure accurate pricing and inventory tracking. You will need to be familiar with our scanning system and be able to troubleshoot any minor technical issues that may arise.
Tabulating the total payment for goods or services required, applying any applicable discounts or promotions, and providing customers with accurate change when necessary. Attention to detail is crucial in this aspect of the role.
Receiving payment from customers in various forms, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and digital payment methods. You will be responsible for verifying the authenticity of payments and maintaining secure cash handling practices.
Greeting customers warmly and providing a positive first impression of our store. Your friendly and professional demeanor will contribute to a welcoming shopping environment for all customers.
Wrapping or placing merchandise in bags securely and efficiently, ensuring that fragile items are handled with care and that customers can easily transport their purchases.
Providing exceptional customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and services. You will serve as a valuable resource for customers seeking assistance during their shopping experience.
Maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies as needed and ensuring that the workspace presents a professional appearance at all times.
